OK, Yest was my day off and it seems i didn't accomplish much. We had an awards dinner in Bellingham in the pm and we took a load of people up to that. We have it yearly and if you earn a title that year you get an award and a gift card to Cenex. if you help at trials you get a free dinner at this very nice restaurant. Frosti was the only one who earned a title. A slow year for us, so hope we take em by storm next year. The morning was spent taking Sallee up to the vet as she has gotten quiardia from Iris so now they are both on pills but once we get it under control it should be OK. I still think they snuck away with Mexico with Diesel and that's where they all got it. you know that water in Mexico.
I was going to work today but figured i better finish what i didn't get done yest. so I passed. Now its raining and i can't do what i planned outdoors so guess I will try and finish Jeff's Xmas present that my back so rudely interrupted. We also have a going away party for my boss so not sure if that will be sad or happy. We are devastated she is leaving but I am hoping for good things for her. I have to get my pot luck piece made. I am going to take barbecue sandwiches. Hope they turn out.
I went and got the makings yest. I took Frosti and Diesel along to the local store. I had to go to dairy queen to ask Lacey to come by after work and let the dogs out. I took the sack of meat in with me which was supposedly pretty funny to all of them. BUT when i got back Frosti had gotten in the other sack i had tried to tuck away and she ate a WHOLE package of hamburger buns or actually 7 1/2 buns and squashed another package. Oh the joy of owning animals. I should have carried both bags in and really looked like a bag lady....
Oh dear, that's not good. Don't you hate it when the animals are smarter than we are? Hope he/she doesn't get sick. What is guillardia? I'm not familiar with that disease by that name. I was thinking about your flowers being up 6" and decided I needed to seriously start looking for seeds and now I have enough to plant a little english garden of annuals....can't start tilling up anything yet, still have about 15" snow on the ground AND lots more coming!
ReplyDeleteGood grief.
Jon will be watching the Superbowl here soon and I'm going to work on my applique block for the little quilt. I love looking at applique work, but just don't do it very well. We ran to Rochester after church to see our new great granddaughter for the first time; she slept through the whole visit. She is sweet though and will probably look like her sisters who are both beautiful, big brown eyes and blond hair and little imps! I want to steal them away. I'm thinking if I had some help, a grankid week camp at our house this summer would be a blast! Sleep in bedsacks on the floor, eat mac & cheese 2 meals/day and play the rest of the time...wonder if I could get those 12-13 yr old girls to help me...you think? Anyhow, gives me something to think about.
All for today. Have a nice afternoon ...Love, K
My friend Linda does stuff like that you mention with her granddau's all the time. I certainly would go for it.
ReplyDeleteI can't spell giardia (montezumas revenge) is what it is. That probably helps you understand.
I spend the last hour sprucing up my dogs, coats, nails, the whole works. I got my barbecue done (I think it tastes pretty good) and now i just have a couple things to do to finish before i go to Judys party. Hope i can get some pictures to post.
I sent a comment today but don't see it here. Try again. I'm working with Bonnie; she is able now to get into the blog, but is working on doing comments now. I've sent her some ideas, think it is possible with her AOL account. If she can find her password, think she can do it. NOW -- how to get my pictures to work. K
ReplyDeleteWell, today is cleaning day and then a little work on the quilt project -- suppose I need to do some food planning for dinner. Jon is down with a bad cold - but think he'll be okay (he's not sure though).
ReplyDeleteTomorrow hope to go see Heidi for a short visit and maybe stop at Cass' "new" shop to see that. All for now. K
