What's new now?

Well we are back on the island for a while.  The RV needed some body work and some small things done  so it is at camping world in Burlington.  I wanted all of it done at once and since they are doing some Fiberglas body work all of us had to move out.  That is the bad part of living in a moving vehicle.
So we moved in to donnas house. Joyce would have taken us but I wanted to share some of donnas excitement with her new quilting machine. It has been fun watching her learn it and helping problem solve some issues.  Our guild had their yearly auction and I got an almost totally long arm quilting frame which run $1000-2000 for the amazing price of $15. So it is being stored till I have a house and at which time I will find a used quilting machine.  So I am going to start saving now.
I am saving for a Yamaha key board and now my long arm machine. So if I get any donations that's what it will go for. Ha ha.
Today and yest I decided what I could do for Donna was clean her house so I finished that today.  Looks quite nice if I do say so myself.
Hope to get in to the fairgrounds campground in Langley on mon, tues at the latest.

Elisa Ethridge

Not sure I spelled her name right.  She is performing her at the casino right near our RV  so we are getting a free concert.  We have the suburban back for a few days.  Man sitting under a tree for two months really made it scruffy.  So after $12 at the self car wash, lots of elbow grease it is pretty much clean.  Now to go and get some knd of cover for it.   Poor old car, deserves better than that from us.

Too tired.

I got to tired to finish last nite.  When you fall asleep typing you know it's time to shut er down.
Tonight Leroy I at the NASCAR races in Monroe, with a girl friend of mine, how do you like that.  Ha ha.   Sh loves the races too so her husband and I let them enjoy them together.  Nice aren't we.
Inspent the last two days on the island with my best friend and fellow quilter Donna.   She got a new quilt machine, something we both have wanted, so I spent the last two days watching her husband set it up, helping her load it and just giving moral support.  I doubt they really needed my interference but since she is like a sister, it was like getting it myself.  I am so happy for her.  Now I have some one to quilt my quilts. I doubt it's something I can do as it takes brains and patience of which I have neither.  Also a perchant for detail and being a bit of a perfectionist of which I am not either. I am to clumsy, not enough attention to detail, impatient, do things to fast, and to willing to accept good enough. So I am so happy for her.
This last week also gave me a chance to visit my  bird friend.  Ha ha.  There is a female bird over here in Monroe.  She lives at the feed store.  They used to have lots of birds but now have only her.  She sings songs.  She can sing, I've been working on the railroad, I left my heart in San Francisco, Jesus loves me, and my co untry tis of thee.  Usually I can get her singing and then she imitates my laugh.  So when every time I am here I have to go visit.  I can't type the way she sings them but some of them are pretty funny (which is where the laughing comes in).
I also had a guy ask me this week, seriously I think, if I was born with my hair like this. I very seriously answered that yes I had and went on my way.
Tues and thurs I got to catch up on md appts.  My skin doc took off three deep tissue spots, ouch, and my sports medicine/foot doc was happy with everything but gave me a shot in my left ankle.  We almost have that problem cleared up, and its only taken us a year.  Yeah!!!! And my pain doc is willing to work with me to get meds while I am gone and help reassess this d______shoulder when I return.  Man if I fix that everything will be pretty much under control.   What will I fuss about.  I will have to find things to talk to people about for sure then.
I got to have lunch with my son on thurs.  we have such a nice time.  He has really turned into a nice kid in spite of me.  We ate at a gluten free restaurant.  I had a portobello mushroom burger.  Not the best one I ever had but not too bad.  I am developing a taste for them.  I need to watch myself, sometimes I eat way too healthy.    We will see.  I see the dietician on the 21st so then I will find out how bad I really do eat.
Came home tonight to my traveling home.  I guess the races were very good I hear and both of them enjoyed themselves. We need to be out of the campground tomorrow so guess we will hit the casinos again. Tues the RV goes in for some body work so cats and birds and myself will go back to the island.   Leroy and the dogs will fend for themselves.  They may be able to stay in the RV in the pms  but not the birds due to the fumes. We will probably stay with a dear friend who is so good to us and always gives us a flop house and never complains.
Till next time........
