1/14 tues

Said goodbye to our new friends and aquaintences at travelers world, a stop at our favorite Mexican bakery and on the road.    Got here and are camping on beach at Mustang island  state park. Had a big hike on  the beach, I found some treasures like a star fish and an abalone shell but dropped them when I got back so I haven't  checked to see how many broke.   Darn.  It flew up in the air and then crash.
It is warm, sunny, and lots of my favorite palm trees. Enjoying it immensely.
Have been working on a blazer I had cut out and brought along.  It's going good, think it will look ok, but it is heavier than I thought it would be, so it may end up being a light jacket instead.  Just a few things to finish and it is done. Then I have some blocks to finish for a family quilt for some anniversary.  My SIL puts together these quilts that we all make blocks for.  Hope they turn out ok.

mon 1/13

I have to rewrite this post.  I want you to know that it was all done and then Sidney just walked across the keyboard, typed a bit and then deleted the WHOLE thing.
We loved our time up in the hill country as i mentioned in the last post.  The next day we were driving around and I found a blood bank and since it is time for my regular donation I went there.  Good deal for me.  They have some promotions going sponsored by a large chain and the basketball team and I got a $10 gift certificate and a tshirt, well two t shirts as I couldn't decide which size to take.  What a deal.
Then we found a place to hike.  The next day we went to the Government Canyon Natural Area and we hiked 3-4 miles and boy little Diesel hike the whole way just like a trooper.  The next day we hiked closer to home at the Medina River Natural Area.  The trails are so cool.  I can just imagine the old west and the settlers going thru these same areas.
I love the release of endorphins I get when I hike and if I could hike every day i would be in great physical shape yes, but I would also be in the best emotional shape possible.  It really makes a big effect on me.
I have also decided that no matter where you go, or at least for us, we find that each area has it own beauty, and we really enjoy that.  So it means we could live anywhere as we seem to adapt to the area. We are pretty adaptable people I have decided, we seem to take things in stride.  Good for us!!!
My sister and niece, neither one seems to be doing well so please if you are praying people, take them into your prayers.
Think that is all for today.  The RV is fixed, so we will be hitting the road tomorrow. I do enjoy this gypsy life.  :)
