2/12 Wed Pictures
you have to realize he looks better when he is cleaned up and shed out. Its cold and he is a bit fuzzy right now and its been to cold to really groom him . these aren't even the mushiest pictures. i was crawling around him all over.
Here he had been trying to open the barn door as she had gone in to get something.
Here i am outside with some of the mares.
This is Lori and I with Iris, but i don't have the ones yet with her dogs
Ithink this is the house we will buy, like it?

2/12 wed
Its been a busy week. Can't remember what we did last wed during the day but i probably washed clothes, ha ha. I try not to remember those days. In the evening we met Leroy's sister at a friends house and that was a really nice visit. Thurs I spent at the Ft Worth stock show visiting with all the horses and cows and pigs and having a wonderful day all by myself. In my element, I felt so at home. Then Leroy joined me in the pm and we went to the rodeo. That was really nice. That's where Leroy got his great coat.
It would seem, unless I have this wrong and have said this, but we went over and visited Carol Tanner. I worked with her at Whidbey and she has recently retired and moved down here. We had the most wonderful afternoon. It just made me hate to leave.
Then Sat we met my friend Lori again for herding. It was cold yet and a bit icy and slippery so we didn't herd but we had a video and lecture and critique class. We had a great morning and visited with her other animals and took pictures of both the dogs. Again, I hated to leave, like leaving a friend I have had for years, tho we haven't really known each other that long. So it was great. The day turned warm so we came home and I washed the RV and Leroy did some fixing of something that was needed. Oh I think he put in a new water pump. We had some freezing temps we weren't prepared for well and we blew the pump one nite.
Sun we packed up and moved to east of Dallas in Canton. Mon we went to visit my new friend who owns a horse ranch that I have followed for a year. She raises Friesen sport horses, which is a cross from her beautiful stallion Darktanion with a lighter breed to make an all over sport horse. Well I fell in love with Darktanion when i first saw him. Heather was referred to me by another friend. I finally had my chance to hug and kiss and mush on him. He is a huge stallion who is so gentle (he is a draft horse) that we were in the yard with him loose with no halter or anything. It was wonderful, it was my dream. Then we went into the pasture with all the mares and young colts. No one was haltered, a dozen horses, and we are just walking around mushing on them. The mares are big breeds too, three were ready to deliver. Leroy couldn't get far enough away from one of them to even get decent pictures. They are trying to steal stuff from pockets, and it was soooo great. Leroy is a bit scared of horses and they really helped that fear. He came away wanting one of those babies some day. If you want to see a beautiful horse, look up New Horizons Ranch in Grand Saline Texas. Leroy kept trying to get pictures of me with as he calls it "a shit eating grin from ear to ear" because I was sooo happy. Honest to God, it was on my bucket list, and everything now seems anti climatic. I am still in heaven about it.
Then today we started home. Weather was cold and slippery last nite but a nice day today. In 40's I think. But we started home anyhow. Unable to connect with his sister again as they went right thru town on their way home because of the unpredictable weather. So we stopped at Southfork. Remember that, the ranch on Dallas. We had a tour we didn't have to pay for, we walked in the exit and joined in, so we did the whole thing backwards and never had to pay a cent. Ha Ha, hows that for luck. We really didn't plan it, but that's the way it worked out.
Weather has improved so don't know if we will go to Palo Duro route tomorrow to leave state or go straight across to new Mexico. We will see. We plan each day when we get up.
I will try to put some pictures in yet tonight.
