Well Jeff came Mon about three. We had a nice pm right off the bat. But at the airport diesel saw him and as I got out of car to move so Jeff could get in the dumb dog jumped right out of the car, at the airport. Gave us all a scare tho he ran and jumped all over Jeff. He has been sleeping with him every nite and can't stand it if he leaves or is out of his site. Tues Jeff spent the afternoon with his cousin Jim and Dale and we just drove around, walked the dogs, and washed the car. Guess they had a nice afternoon going to galleries.
Today He and Leroy went to the Biosphere 2 (where the people live in a sphere, remember?). I didn't go along so i could catch up around here, veg out and let them have time alone. Jeff and I get time alone as he stays up late and I usually can't sleep so we sit and talk and work on computers and such then. It works out fine. I hate to be around them all the time as I have a tendency to hog the conversation as Leroy doesn't talk so I do and Jeff and I chatter on and on and then Leroy gets left out, so this always works out well. We have done it this way for some years. Usually Jeff does conversations on phones with Leroy when he calls cause I hate to talk on the phone and Leroy never seems to be good on the phone but he talks with Jeff OK.
He has turned into a nice young man.
Leroy and I snapped (lightly) at each in the car and I said well "that's what dad and I do now that we don't have a house, we snap at each other" Jeff says "Well that's always good, one always needs a hobby".
He has his dads and his grandpa's sense of humor.
And Jeff is so blunt, I said do you like my new hairstyle and he replies, well its awfully flat. So the next day I say, is it better today? he replies, better than what I reply, better than yesterday dummy he replies yah it looks a little better today.
He told me he couldn't figure out why we sent a picture of that woman in Roswell and finally figured out it was me. Nice kid huh?
I have been blessed to have him in my life, he has taught me alot. As hard as it was I think I am a better person because of his presence in this world.
He looks good, and he is happy, so I guess what else do you want for your kids. He is getting by pretty well in life and in his job and his relationships with friends and family and seems healthy. He is always there for us and us for him. I guess that's the best we can ever wish for. His head seems on right.

3/16 Sun
I have to reread the last posts always to see if i wrote some thing or just thought about writing them and to remember what I have told you and what not. Please anyone forgive me if I repeat myself. After I write I think of things I forgot to say. Then I try to remember them till I sit down again and needless to say it doesn't always work.
If I get some time again I will post some more pictures.
Did I ever tell you about New Mexico's motto. Leroy says its almost like 4H motto. It is a symbol with lines coming out of 4 sides of a circle. Dumb description but try to visualize it. It is an indigenous peoples rules that they lived by. 4 sacred things. A strong body, clean mind, pure heart, and love and caring for people and family. I think if we all used that as our motto we would be better people.
Well we are in Tucson and plan to spend a week that we know of. We made contact with our friends/family Dale and Jim. We love them so and have already had three super visits. They probably can't wait for us to leave and hope we don't settle here. :)
Jeff comes in tomorrow. He took a side trip to see his grandma but is cutting it short by a day so he can get here on Mon. He will stay till Fri and is back to work on Sat. I am excited to be seeing him. He wants to see his cousin Jim so am sure he will have some time with them. So will have to line up some things we can do. Just having him around will be nice. We miss him.
We had pizza tonight with Dale and Jim and came home to find that the cats had walked on the controls, dropped the jacks on the one side so the thing was sitting kitty wampas (pun), and turned the fan on. Leroy had left the keys in the ignition (trusting huh) because he sits there and works on his computer and must have adjusted something and then forgot to turn it off and remove the keys. So they had his help but I wondered WHAT had happened when i walked in. The birds said the cats were trying to tip the RV over so they would get knocked out of their cages and then they could eat them. I hardly believe you can believe a couple of lovebirds so I will assume it was accidental. They are always a bit dramatic.
Leroy spent the day watching a nascar race and the dogs and I jumped in the car and went car shopping. The Kia is ready to hit the dust so we need to start looking. No one was open so we looked in peace, except for everyone else that was doing the same thing. Met some really nice people and did some shopping with the nicest young girl. I let the dogs take turns getting out and looking with me so each one got out every third time. I put on almost 9000 steps just walking around car lots today. Then I took them to McDonald's and then we went to a dog park near our home and then came home in time to go to Dale and Jim's house for pizza. Leroy did fix a couple things while he was here alone watching TV. Think he enjoyed the day to himself.
It is super easy to get around here, its laid out really well and it is so spread out, nothing feels hectic or cramped. I found the best sausage shop yest. They have 1/4 all beef hot dogs. I bought some and some of the largest and best looking bratwurst. Nothing good for me but I don't eat so much anymore so its fun.
I have had a stiff neck and upper back the last couple mornings. Couldn't figure out why, thought maybe I was sleeping so sound and not moving so that was causing it as it can for me. Then I figured out that I think my cat (Jeff's cat) Sidney is cuddling up on my pillow next to my head and sleeping with me. That may be why I don't move all night. But he is so cute and so old I couldn't bear to chase him away.
I think the warm weather has helped Sidney as he seems to be moving better and jumping up on things better. Guess have to move south just for the old sweetie pie or as I call him Handsome.
Iris' blood work was normal except her WBC was a bit high. Stool spec was normal. So she doesn't have giardia. They suggested other things they could do but lots of money for what reason. She seems to feel OK. I think she may have a UTI so may take her back so they can catch a urine spec to do. Otherwise I think we will watch her closely for a few days. Its the vet they use for all the greyhounds and they are very good. We were very impressed with their clinic.
Oh, by the way, that reminds me. Did you know Arizona does not honor daylight savings time. We found that out as we were an hour early for our vet appt. I guess they figure, why? The sun shines all the time and why add another hour of the hottest time of the day on. Makes sense I guess but man now we really are messed up with time. So we just get up when we wake and go to bed when we are tired, eat when we are hungry and the heck with everything else.
All from the valley of the sun (Tucson).
If I get some time again I will post some more pictures.
