Haven't posted since we got home here to Washington but will give you an update. i try not to post if i really have nothing to say or nothing of interest as I know there are a few of you out there that actually read this thing. Wish you would all post comments, I would love to hear from you.
We got in on a Fri so we found the spot in Bothell, think i wrote that. The following Mon we took the RV up to camping world in mt Vernon. We needed the roof fixed and its electrical problem and some body work we put off all done.
Dear dear Joyce McGinnis agreed to let us stay at her house. Now she was going to be gone a week and I thought that is all the whole passel of us would need, but the RV will take a lot longer so she agreed to let us stay. I feel bad imposing on her but we decided to be her live in maid and butler. We are trying to do all we can for her. I mean can you imagine a friend letting you move into their house with all your shit and 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 birds? I mean she probably should have her head examined.
But since we moved in it feels to me things are going well. She had a nice vacation in California with her kids for a week and we kinda just caught up. First it was med appts. I saw my pain doc, my sports doc, have met with my hair dresser, Leroy went to the VA, i saw my primary for lab work ( which are mostly improved) and tomorrow is dentist and vet. The following week is resp. doc and after that is my annual physical, mammogram and my skin doc is down the line a ways, plus my pain doc again.
The pain doc is going to try and fix my useless right arm. it seems it comes from my neck so she is thinking of replacing my stimulator with a longer more deluxe model that would manage pain all along the spine.
We have caught up with some friends and it has been so nice. It is fun to see and visit them when i am not working, as most of them are work friends. I had a 4 mile walk on the beach with Ginny Green and remembered why she is such a role model for me. She is truly amazing and such an inspiration. Can you believe her oldest is getting married in a few weeks.
I spent a day with my little Annie who is graduating this June. We also saw her folks and her sister. They are such a wonderful family and they have raised the best kids on the planet I swear.
We have been back to our old church and I remember why I love it and how it is different than churches we attend along the road. It feels like a giant family reunion. You don't know them all but you just feel related and accepted, and I always walk away with a good feeling and better understanding.
We ran into people at church we haven't seen and we talked with a family we have admired for years. A family that has always worshiped together and the unity in them is so amazing.
I had a nice visit with PC and it was so good to feel her presence and we think of her as family also. We were saddened at hearing Kayla was gone so we all shed tears over that. Somehow we always worry about her as she always puts so much on her plate.
We went to the Rural Characters concert which to me is my very favorite group EVER. It was the best concert and they had new songs I hadn't heard. I had fallen that day and was in pain but somehow the music just made it all go away and I left feeling better.
At the concert I not only ran into Ginny but also saw Marsha Dunnigan. It was nice to hug her and feel her ever present concern for others. Hope to have time with her again before we head out again.
When i got my hair done I not only had my favorite and best est hair dresser of all times but my dear young man Shawn. He is like a son to me and I couldn't dislike anything he does. He has a gift and I trust him unwaveringly (is that a word?) He has a full beard and it looks good on him but really makes him look mature and wise. Me, I like men in beards, so they 99% always look good to me.
Jeff came up from Seattle to see us yest and stayed over and went home today. We had a nice time. We played a new game he has, had a great meal fixed by Leroy and today while Leroy was at VA Jeff and I took the dogs for a walk at green bank. He took so many pictures we named it the 500 picture walk. He got some great ones and I used one for my face book page since that was out of date. He actually made me look not so bad. But he got some beautiful pictures, hes a good photographer.
Last week when we were at green bank walking I had a friend see me, recognize me she thought and was running after us to catch us. It was Linda Stafford and she thought it was us but the guy was running (Leroy) and she didn't think Leroy ever ran. We got a good kick out of that. So hope to find a time to get together with her.
Oh, and we had supper with our friend and realtor Deb Jones. She is outstanding if anyone needs a realtor. she is definitely more than the regular realtor. She goes the extra mile. It was so fun seeing her. She also sells Mary Kay and got me using that wonderful product I can't live without now. But it was so fun. She always makes me laugh, we have a similar sense of humor. It was like no time had passed between our visits, guess that's the sign of a true friendship.
So that is all up to now. We will be here thru June i guess and maybe even July. Donna is having a knee surgery on the 11th of august but she may get in before that. Hopefully, as I want to be here for her.
Oh I know. I got to go with Donna up to her Hobby House Sew day in anacortes one sat. That was fun and I really got a lot accomplished. It was way fun.
Of course I have seen Donna, they came over for supper one nite and i have seen her a couple of times. Our connection is always the same no matter what happens or how much time passes. Feels good.
If it wasn't for her and Joyce our little life style would not be possible. God takes care of us thru our friends here on earth. And he has surely blessed us.
