Well we made it to Las Vegas. The place we had decided to stay in truly was a resort so we stayed more days than planned. It had the most wonderful pools, one for family's and one for just adults. They were heated and it was so wonderful getting in and getting out and not freezing. It was at its deepest only 5 feet so I could swim from end to end while Leroy stood guard in the middle. ( I have fear of water that I can't stand up in). It was wonderful. The landscaping was beautiful , they had a hot tub, we got to ride the bikes, sit by the pool. It was wonderful. Even a small restaurant where we had breakfast a few times. They had a small store that came in handy and a gym which I didn't need to use it because of all the other exercise we got. So our stay in Vegas was fun. We did lots and lots of walking. It has really grown since we were last here. We didn't waste much money as we got in in mist if the things the casinos have for free. We saw a beautiful arboretum at the bellagio, well worth the time. We went into a great aquarium at the Mandalay bay. It was great. We saw a wildlife habitat at the flamingo. We saw lots of laser light and water shows outside the places. We went to the Fremont experience where it is a huge laser experience above the street and over head. Everything was kept up so neatly that I really enjoyed that. We went to the m and m store and the coke store. We also went out of town to the red rock canyon and learned about desert turtles and took a short hike. It was a fun and relaxing 4 days.
I think I forgot to mention a few things. Did I mention we got a parking ticket in Santa Fe for an expired meter ($20). Can you believe that.
I also had a coke episode at mcdonalds we got cokes at the drive thru. This is in Tucson. It was after taking Jeff to the airport. By the time we almost were home I finished mine, took off the lid to eat the ice as I usually do. The ice had MOLD in and on it. I was mortified. We stopped at the nearest store, reported it and had some one look at it and promptly called the problem in. We had numerous phone calls over the next few days but I wish we would have stopped at the health dept. it was closed or we would have. We are now leaving Las Vegas and heading for California to my cousins home. When we get there will remain to be seen, we don't get early starts nor do we go in a straight line or drive far in one day.
My hair is down to my shoulders. Can't remember when I let it get this long. Maybe in college I vaguely remember it. It sure comes in handy as I can tie it up when it is hot or windy or if we are hiking and it is completely out of my face. Almost as convenient as being bald but warmer, ha ha.
Seems there was something else to tell you. It can't think of it now.
