Well on this day off i worked outside. But even tho i got a lot done i was in pain from the moment i got up. My sciatica and my left knee are so bad today even oxycodone doesn't dent it, so unfortunately I missed agility tonight.
Diesel is feeling better but i gave him a bath tonight so that puts him down for a while. I still think we need to get him to Dr. Suluski (chiro/vet) cause he seems to yip when we sometimes take his diaper on or off. it seems like it is his right him.
I had to go get more pills today and weigh the dogs. Iris either didn't get over her guiardia or she got it again so we got more pills and we started her vacinations for it. The vacinations help her make the eggs inactive so she doesn't get reinfected. That will help the other dogs too. Tho no one else has gotten it.
Todays weigh ins showed that everyone is overweight but Iris who can't seem to gain
weight but today she was up one pound. In dog pounds that is pretty good.
As I sit here I have to listen to Sydney (jeffs cat) snore. Did you know cats snore. I didn't. He snores so loud you hear him across the room. He has a bed and sleeps on my sewing table. Occasionally he will reach out and try and grab what i am sewing or get up and come over and look at the situation and then go back to bed.
so I have no interesting news, as usual. Maybe as i journal this more I will get more profound. think?
Oh my little Lacey came by today on her horse while we were outside. She graduates June 12. I have a horse wall hanging i am making for her so i better get busy on it. She plans to go to Walla Walla in august and go to horseshoeing school for two years. Finally her folks agreed to loan her the money (not pay for it) and she has to pay for her truck and her room and board. She was feeling sad as she will have to either lease her horse out or sell it. Her folks won't take care of it for her. The horse isn't stupid, it hates Mike. Smart horse I say. Gads, she was the same age as Buster, they celebrated their birthdays together. Shes been made to feel she isn't smart enough to go to school for anything, so she figures she will do something she likes. She knows she always has a home here with us.
Leroy went to meet his first hospice patient today. He joined the hospice volunteers thur our agency and he finally has his first case. A man in Langley. i think he will be very good at it and will like it.
Did i tell you we are volunteering helping with a dog 4h group. Leroy may become a co leader but i said i am just HELPING. We have known the gal who leads it since we came on the island. Her oldest daughter is going to show Iris for me in conformation or at least that is the plan if Iris ever gains any weight. She is so sweet and talented and has such a gift, I would like to see her turn into a junior and then senior handler. They make great money for a part time vocation.
That was a nice rambling...I liked the stuff about the cat. Didn't know you had Jeff's cat. Wish I had a kitty; they are so funny to watch and make you happy when you are sad. Did Donna O. send you the YouTube of the cat who was so thirsty? It was hilarious. Let me know if you need it sent to you. I'm cleaning the house today and then we are meeting Jon's girls & hubbies for dinner at a mexican restaurant at 6:30. That will be a nice diversion. I'd like to see Heidi, but bet she'll go to Red Wing tomorrow to see her babies. Well, I better get moving here. Keep up the good work; you are pretty consistent now; it will become a habit. I don't have anything interesting to say but I'll keep writing. Wish the pics would work; it won't accept the format (:??)
