Can't believe its been a week since i put anything on here. We got into Seattle last Fri and stayed at a park in bothell. A really nice park but no break in $ for long term stays. Anyhow, we stayed there for Fri, sat,and sun. We had a nice spot right on a little lake. It was really nice. During that time we took our stuff over to Joyce's house on the island. We tried to pick up the suburban and use it but it wouldn't start no matter what did. So we borrowed Taylor's truck. We cleaned out what we need from the RV and moved into Joyce's house. We took the RV to its doctor on Mon am. After getting that all set up we came to Joyce's, all of us (birds, dogs, and cats). We took over poor Joyce's house.
Joyce made us welcome as she always does. She worked Sat and then that Sun, she and Leroy watched the nascar race. I went and visited some of my quilt friends at their Sunday retreat.
Tues I made appts, and wed and Thurs I had those appts. My blood sugar and lipid levels are all improved, still up but better. Doctors were happy with my situation.
Fri i went along with Donna to her doc appt and then we went out to lunch and stopped at a couple of stores. Our usual outings. It was fun, haven't had a chance to do that for a long time. That brings us to today. Leroy watched his nascar race, and I sewed on a jacket that I have been working on for over 1+years. Almost finished it and it looked terrible on me. So i cut it up and tried to make it fit. It still looked like crap so i put it in the bag to go to the thrift store. Sometimes you have to know when to cut your losses. That was a hard thing for me to learn. So tomorrow I hope to get to sewing my fun stuff.
I washed all the wash from the RV and the bedding today. Tomorrow I plan on washing all the pet bedding.
We also took our little daschund charges here in this am to the groomer and got their nails cut, so that's done. I brushed Iris yest and she must have decided it was the time to blow her coat and I got enough out of here to make a pillow. One swipe filled the brush. Then today I decided to do Sidney, good grief, another bunch to fill the pillow. So I have two animals that feel a whole lot better.
Joyce left wed am early and went to California to visit her kids and will be back Mon nite late.
Our RV has a number of things to be done to it as we had electrical problems and also had a tree gouge out the roof, so it may take 2-3 weeks to fix it. In the meantime we will be staying with Joyce unless she kicks us out. We plan on being good guests and doing as much for her as we can. I plan on getting some sewing done. In the meantime we will enjoy this beautiful setting (she lives on a hill overlooking the water) on the west side of the island up by Freeland. Still have apts to catch up on and some things to get done so we will enjoy this for the time being.
When we get the RV back we will find a inexpensive park or place and finish out our time in the northwest, while we are here for a graduation, some dog shows, and finding a work camper job to go to from here.
That's the plan at this point.
