Well we decided we didn't really like albequeque as much either Teri. Just wasn't us. To busy, to big, to smoggy. They have lots of trails tho and we went hiking on them, a lot. We went to the petroglyphs, they are the largest on the country. Very interesting and a great hike. Leroy never got his sunset ride on the tram either but we climbed around there a lot on a hike and got some good pictures.
Leroy got to his nuclear museum and that's about all we did there. Then we headed out and camped at the valley of fires reception area. Magnificent. A must see. It's vent lava, not a volcano so it came hi p thru the ground
. They have put p in a walkway for all thru the bottom of the floor. The things you see, flowers coming up where you wouldn't expect is something all should see. I found it way more interesting that mt St. Helens. It was great. Then last nite we stayed at a bottomless lakes state park. You are in the floor of this canyon where there are 8 lakes. Didn't get all the info there but didn't do any hiking and where there a very short time. Today we went to roswell New Mexico to visit my alien family. Seems no ones around so we took pictures, looked at the museum and now are on our way towards carlsbad. Diana
We rescued a Shepard type dog on the freeway and took him to a non kill shelter yest. Sweet little thing named sugar. Seems we continue on our journey of rescuing dogs.
